from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
States Parties shall undertake all appropriate legislative, administrative, and other measures for the implementation of the rights recognized in the present Convention.
1. States Parties recognize that every child has the inherent right to life.
2. States Parties shall ensure to the maximum extent possible the survival and development of the child.
I don’t think the government of the US can be considered to be upholding the rights of children until they take active steps to limit the circulation of automatic and semi-automatic weapons in the community.
